Chemist Wole Akinriboya had his Secondary School education at Christ Apostolic Church (C. A. C) Grammar School, Akure, Ondo State. He attended the then Bendel State (now Ambrose Alli University), Ekpoma, Edo State where he graduated with a B. Sc (Hons) in Chemistry. He was posted to Girls’ Secondary School, Obosi, Anambra State for the mandatory NYSC program. At the end of the service year, he won the State NYSC Award, and this culminated into an Automatic Employment as a Scientific Officer II at the Anambra State Ministry of Science and Technology. Thereafter, he proceeded to Tempo Flour Mills, Umunya (near Onitsha) as the Quality Control Manager. He was the pioneer Chief Laboratory Technologist at Tansian University, Oba, Anambra State. Chemist Wole had a Post-graduate Diploma in Education. Wole is a Research Chemist with over 27 years experience both in the private and public chemical sectors. In 2006 he was nominated as one of the delegates that represented Nigeria at a Plenary Meeting on Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility in Lisbon, Portugal. He is an Alumnus of Lagos Business School (Pan African University), where he obtained a Professional Certificate in Strategic Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility (2008). In 2020, he received an International Professional Certification in Occupational Safety and Health of the United Kingdom (UK). Also in 2021, he received ISO 45001:2018 Certification. He is an outstanding leader who has participated in several national committees on products standards development and led various teams of Chemists in carrying out laboratory and research works to successful completion. In 2022, he was invited by a team of Researchers at FUTO, Owerri for a TETFUND sponsored research on Youth Entrepreneurship in Nigeria: Challenges, Barriers and Strategies. Chemist Wole was one of the recipients of ICCON CEO’s Letter of Commendation for Excellent Performance in 2021. He was a member of the National Mirror Committee on Social Responsibility of ISO, responsible for the development of ISO 26000: Guidance on Social Responsibility (SR). Wole has several publications on MSMEs development, social, creative and knowledge entrepreneurship. He is presently the Head of Regulatory and Enforcement Department and also the coordinating Head of ICCON Consultancy Unit.
