The federal Ministry of Health is in receipt of a letter form the Federal Ministry of Education concerning the receipt of a correspondence from the Head of Science and Technology Sector, ICESCO headquarters in Morrocco by the Nigerian National Commission for Islamic World Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (NATCOM-ICESCO) on the launch of “a project competition to covert bio waste into an edible product to alleviate hunger in the world”.
The award competition is aimed to develop innovative and accessible technologies for extracting protein lipid and carbohydrate to produce nutritious food bars from bio-waste. The value of the award is 100,000 USD and is open to young and female inventors, startups, engineering & biological schools, students and young professionals from all members states.
Consequent on the above, I am directed to share this information with all members.
