The Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria (ICCON) has successfully conducted its 2026 Batch A Online Qualifying Examination.
A total of 41 candidates participated in the examination held on Saturday, 22nd August 2026, across the six geo-political zones of the country.
The Ag. Registrar/CEO, Chemist Akwaowo Idongesit Reuben, commended the candidates and reaffirmed Management’s commitment to sustaining the online examination system.
He stated that the online format enhances efficiency and accessibility, while reducing the financial burden and risks associated with traveling to examination centres, especially given current security challenges.
The successful conduct of the examination is part of ICCON’s broader efforts to modernise and reposition the Institute for improved service delivery.
The Ag. Registrar/CEO also announced that the Batch B Examination, which will hold on Saturday,10th October, 2026, is to cater for additional candidates who could not complete their registration for the Batch A Examination.
Speaking after the exercise, the Head of the Membership and Training Department, Dr. Chemist Ifunanya Iroegbulem, reported that the exam was successfully conducted and that, pending management’s approval of the results, they will be released within 2 weeks.
The Institute congratulates all 40 candidates for their participation and wishes them success as they await the outcome.
